Fira Santorini Travel Tips
Where to Stay
We recommend staying at the Argonaftes Hotel because it's so beautiful, has a great location and it's family run and owned. In our first day in Fira vlog we get to know the hotel owner whose family has lived in Santorini for over 200 years.
What to See:
The Greek Wedding Show is something we regret not going to! We ran into the musical crew while walking around the Fira town. They were so fun and full of life! The show runs nightly at 9:30pm and is interactive featuring Greek wedding music, dance and traditions. We chose not to go because 9:30 is our bedtime and it's a pricey show. But looking back on it, it seems really fun and something we'll definitely go to if we ever return someday.
What to Eat:
Stay posted for a full vegan Greece food vlog that I'll be making about what we ate as vegans and vegetarians in Greece! That video will be in this vegan food playlist as well as my Europe videos playlist. But one food I will suggest you try are gyros! You can get them vegetarian (not vegan) with falafel balls from Yogi Gyro!
We got our favorite falafel gyro at Yogi Gyro restaurant in Fira Santorini
What to Buy:
Another regret of mine was not getting any of the beautiful clothes at the shops in Santorini! White and blue dresses, rompers, two-piece sets and more covered the streets with uniques designs that you can't find anywhere. Will they be marked up because of tourists? Yes. But do you want to look like a Greek goddess such as Athena or Aphrodite? I bet you do! I was thinking of picking one item to purchase but deciding on which piece was too overwhelming! Plus, between my mom, sister and myself there are too many clothing purchases, many of which I'm currently selling on Poshmark and Depop. However, if you're looking for a souvenir, a fashion item is what I would get if I were you! Then when people ask "where'd you get that beautiful dress?" you can say "Santorini!"
Top 3 Items To Bring here:
Cute Blue and White Dress (To match the architecture)
Cute Arch Support Sandals (To go with every outfit)
Cute Blue and White Bikini (To match the vibes)
